Legacies of the Ficus: A Tapestry of Life and Memory
This installation invites us to venture into the embrace of this remarkable plant, to unravel the intricate tapestry of stories and experiences that it has witnessed over the course of its lifetime.
Woven into the roots and branches of this Ficus are the stories of those who have passed through this space, their lives intertwined with the tree's own evolution. The installation encourages us to imagine the countless moments of joy, sorrow, celebration, and reflection that have unfolded in its shadow, creating a rich, multilayered narrative of human experience.
As we approach the Ficus, we are invited to pause and engage in a deep, sensory exploration. The rough texture of the bark, the gentle rustling of the leaves, and the dappled light that filters through the canopy all serve to ground us in the present, while also evoking a sense of timelessness and connection to the past.
